Left arm spinner Gudakesh Motie Kanhai bagged 5 wickets for 73 runs as Guyana defeated the Leeward Islands by 10 wickets in the fifth and final round of the Regional U-19 three day tournament yesterday at Conaree in St. Kitts.

Leeward Islands resumed the day on 67-3 with Williams on 36 and Christian on 16, left arm spinner Gudakesh Motie Kanhai got the breakthrough by removing Williams for 40 at 87-4. The Islanders were then reduced to 147-7 with Kanhai doing most of the damage.
However Hodge and Hanley took their team to lunch at 147-7, needing 69 more to make Guyana bat again. The pair continued to frustrate the Guyanese after the break as they added 65 for the seventh wicket before they both departed in quick succession. Hodge made 49 and Hanley 36 as Leewards were bowled out for 217 in 108.1 overs. Kanhai bagged 5-73 to take 10 wickets in the match.
Guyana only needed one to win and Brian Sattaur hoisted the second ball over mid wicket for a six as Guyana won by 10 wickets.
