Robin Persaud continued his dominance adding another win to his credit on the inner circuit of the National Park last Saturday when the Payless Variety Store sponsored Cycle Race and organised by Hassan Mohamed was held.
Persaud of the Carlton Wheelers Cycle Club, made up for his poor performance at the recently concluded 5 stage Ride for life Race, which was dominated by the Miami based cycle club Team Cocos.
From the beginning of the race, Persaud made his intentions clear, that this was his race, as he rode with the lead pack, which included Junior Niles and Raul Leal of team Cocos.
The trio led for most of the race, until on the 26th lap, Leal had an unfortunate fall. Niles continued with Persaud until the 32nd lap, Persaud attacked and left the Cocos rider eating his dust.
Although he fell, Leal made an incredible recovery and chased down Niles and Persaud to take the third spot.
