The venue for tonight’s final showdown in the Linden segment of the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Futsal Football Competition.
Streets’ Futsal Football Competition, Amelia’s Ward Russians has praised their secret system of play for the success so far.
Speaking from the Russians camp (Blooming Deal’s) ahead of tonight’s finals at the Wisroc / Amelia’s Ward Bus Park, Captain, Travis ‘The Russians Boss’ Watterton described his system of play as a very tactical one which is designed to shut down all attacks by eliminating all play coming through the mid-field and maintaining a solid defensive back and at the same time being able to orchestrate a counter attack to hit their target.
Shawn Daniels also voiced that in the Russians camp, there are a lot of excitement and anticipation, but his team is focused and ready to annihilate the enemy.
He said that the Russians fans should not expect anything less than victory.
In response to the Russians comments, Hardknocks said that they will let their talent and style of play do the talking.
The Russians are up against a formidable unit which comprises of CBR Milerock’s attacking midfield players Clive Nobreiga, Adswel Benjamin, Alister Johnson, Bobb-Semple and Timothy Small in defence.
Fans are also expected to witness the third place game between Pokerburg and Retrieve Unknowns.
The winner of the finals takes home $500,000, runner-up- $250,000, third place- $150,000 and fourth place- $100,000
Meanwhile, an exhibition tournament will played for $100,000 on the same card. The prizes are as follows: 1st place $50,000, 2nd place $30,000 and 3rd place $20,000. Teams to watch in these matches are Bosai, Minibus & Conductors, L.U.C.S.L, L.E.I, Top Class, Commacka United, Overseas Al-Star and Team Greatness.
