Mackenzie High School and defending champions Harmony Secondary were the latest teams to secure wins when play in this year’s Edward ‘Screw’ Richmond Memorial Football Tournament continued on Tuesday afternoon, at the Mackenzie Sports Club Ground.
In the opening game, Mackenzie High scraped past Linden Foundation through a solitary strike off the boot of Jermaine Josiah, who netted in the 37th minute of play.
In the second encounter, current champions Harmony Secondary inflicted a crushing 4-0 win over Marcia Craig’s Educational Institute with Kurd Johnson (2nd), Godfrey Greene (12th), Akeem Haynes (21st) and Michael Peters (44th), being the players on target.
The tournament continues today with two more matches at different venues, starting at 15:00 hrs.
Over at the Wisroc ground, Christianburg / Wismar Secondary take on New Silvercity Secondary, while at the MSC Linden Technical Institute do battle with Wismar Secondary.
