Pooranlall wins National Open Draughts championships
Khemraj Pooranlall emerged winner of the Guyana Draughts Association
Prize winners from the recently staged Guyana Draughts Association National Open Championship pose for a photo op following the completion of the presentation ceremony.
National Open Championship which was played recently, at the Mildred Mansfield Youth Club.
Pooranlall came home ahead of Devanand and Mark Brathwaite in that order.
In the ‘A’ Division, Carlton Simon took top honours and he was followed home by Pooranlall, while the veteran Elton Lambert occupied the third spot.
Elridge Grandison captured the ‘B’ Division from Mark and Ulric Brathwaite respectively. The ‘C’ Division was won by Shawn Weekes from Michael Francis and Dexter Johnson in that order.
All the respective winners received prizes.
