Kayo’s Football Academy based in the Bauxite Mining Town of Linden and run by current Golden Jaguar Kayode McKinnon is set to make a visit to interact and share their vision with members of the Uitvlugt Warriors Football Club, based on the West Coast of Demerara on Saturday from 09:00hrs.
Kayo’s Football Academy will be travelling with about 10 of its members and 6 parents and will interact with some 25 players and officials from Uitvlugt Warriors.
Apart from sharing their vision, the Academy will be exploring the viability of expanding the Academy, the first of its kind in the Country.
Kayo’s Football Academy, a prominent non-profit foundation in Linden and was initiated by Mr. Kayode McKinnon with a vision to impact children between the ages 6-16 years-old with a view to molding them into well-rounded individuals, through the vehicle football.
McKinnon, a current member of the Golden Jaguars’ in their quest for FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014 glory, has been described as an ambitious, ardent and altruistic person who is the epitome of benevolence. He, along with volunteer coaches, parents and other stakeholders seek to realize the Academy’s Mission Statement and Objectives for the future human resources of the nation.
The outline of Saturday’s programme encompasses Techniques, Co-ordination, Motivational Speeches and Skill for Small Sided Games. The exercise which is divided into two phases commences at 9:00hrs and will conclude at 16:00hrs.
