National Cricketer Steven Jacobs is so confident that his team of athletes will blow out the entertainers at the Second Annual Celebrity Charity Basketball Games this Saturday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall that he has begun ‘thrash talking’.
Jacobs will be playing with a team of national athletes including Ronson Williams, Theodore Henry and Godfrey Munroe.
With such high profile athletes on his team, Jacobs not only predicted a win, but guaranteed and commanding victory. He also took the opportunity to issue a challenge to comedian, Chow Pow to score more than six points and play an entire quarter.
“Athletes are always fitter and more agile,” Jacobs said, adding that he does not expect Chow Pow to have the stamina to run back and forth for an entire ten-minute period. “Athletes always like to compete and we always like to win as well so we will be taking it to them on Saturday night,” Jacobs added.
The Entertainers, who will be taking Centre Court in tonight’s basketball charity game, will be featured today.
