Ian Rogers of the Guyana National Rifle Association (GNRA) K. Harripersaud of Presidential Guard and James Singh (GNRA) won their respective divisions at last Sunday’s Modern Optical Inter-Services Practical Shooting championship held at the Timehri ranges.
The championship was held in three categories and three stages with Rogers capturing the ‘A’ Class after he finished with two second places and a third spot.

Ryan McKinnon (GNRA) was second overall in ‘A’ Class, while third place went to Dale Hing of the GNRA.
Harripersaud, who was in top form last year, returned to winner’s row in the ‘B’ Division competition, copping the best overall aggregate.
Second place went to C. Davis of the Guyana Police Force with M. Melville finishing third.
Singh won the ‘C’ competition from Dr. Johan DaSilva and Lt. Col. Terry Stuart.
The competition attracted 31 shooters representing the Guyana Defence Force, Presidential Guard, Bank of Guyana Security and the GNRA.
Dr. Jose Da Silva Managing Director of Modern Optical expressed satisfaction with the level of competition.
Dr. Da Silva who witnessed the entire competition also assisted in the presentation of prizes.
