Guyana’s Xenon Academy lost to St Clair Dacon of St Vincent on Sunday in Barbados in a rain affected match in the Sir Gary Sobers International School cricket competition.
The game was reduced to 25 overs per side and Xenon Academy scored 94 all out in 24.5 overs with Carwin Austin hitting two fours in a top score of 22. Kevin Lindo made 21 not out with 1 four and a six and Alvin Castello 19 with a similar number of fours and sixes for the Guyanese.
Sherwin Mapp captured 4 for 18 for the Islanders and got support from Ray Jordan 3 for 11 and Terron Simon 2 for 12
The Vincentians reached 95 for 3 in 18.3 overs with Andrew Thomas smashing three fours and a six in 47 and Dwayne Richards making 27 not out. Traivona France took 2 for 14 in a losing effort for the South Americans.
