Riddim Squad play Uprising, Houston Stars tangle with Santos

When the Super Four playoff of the Western Union sponsored division one football competition in the city commences tomorrow afternoon at the Camptown ground, Campbellville, points leaders Riddim Squad will be leaving no stones unturned as they seek to win the competition in their debut year.
The team which hails from Mocha on the East Bank of Demerara has taken the game by storm in the city and is aiming for the Premier League ranks since the top two at this level will replace the bottom two at the higher level.
They {Riddim Squad} ended the round-robin round of the tournament with 24 points and an unbeaten record and will be taking on former division-one kings Uprising in tomorrow’s feature game from 15:30hrs. Uprising, are on 17 points and can spring a surprise on the leaders who have said they are prepared for what their opponents will be brining to the table.
Sceyon Hope and Dorville Stewart will be at the helm of Riddim Squad’s charge while Uprising will hope to rise above the challenge with the likes of Daniel Favourite, Omali Nassy and Freeman Fordyce in charge.
The first game tomorrow from 13:30hrs will see Houston Stars who qualified as the fourth and final team taking on Santos who finished on 19.
All the teams have brought forward their points and an interesting Super Fours round is anticipated with the teams playing each other.
