Sylvan Gardner, Guyana’s most successful Bodybuilder at the Central American and Caribbean level and also one of the most decorated on the local scene will be competing at the Muscle Mania Superbody competition in New York this evening.
Gardner arrived in the USA on Thursday morning and is has been under the astute guidance and care Guyana’s internationally renowned Professional Bodybuilder Hugh Arlington Ross.
Gardner had his first training session on Thursday afternoon and was under intense final preparations by Ross, who also had him practicing his mandatory poses while making any adjustments to them.
Ross had promised that Gardner would be taken through his shredder when he arrived and lived up to that promise.
The event is taking place at the Kingsborough Community College Performing Arts Center.
The Guyana Amateur Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation is expressing gratitude to Caribbean Airlines for assisting with a discounted ticket, the US Embassy here for granting Gardner the relevant Visa and Hugh Ross, who is taking care of Gardner while he is in New York.
Also assisting Gardner with his preparation while in Guyana, were past President of the GABBFF George Marshall and current President, Frank Tucker.
