Olva Adeola Mc Kenzie is this country’s latest addition to the Bar. Her petition was yesterday presented to Justice Roxanne George-Wiltshire by attorney-at-law Raphael Trotman.
The 27-year-old woman, who hails from Stewartville, West Coast Demerara, attended the Leonora Primary School and then the Leonora Secondary School, where she was the best graduating student in 1997.
She was also the best Spanish student and was awarded for outstanding performances at the CXC in the same year. She was also awarded for satisfactory performance at CAPE as a student of Queen’s College.
The new attorney-at-law moved on to the University of Guyana and then the Hugh Wooding Law School, from where she graduated this year.
Witnessing the admission was her father, Kenton McKenzie, and Deputy Superintendent of Police Derrick Josiah.
