A fine unbeaten Century by Khalid Baksh guided young Warriors to a 10-wicket victory over Colombia as the West Indian Sports Complex Guyana 15 overs Softball League continued on the Essequibo Coast last Sunday with four matches.
Set 162 for victory, Young Warriors overhauled the target in 11 overs with Baksh hitting 101 and got full support from Sudesh Daylall who made 52.
Earlier host Colombia batted first and made 161 for 7 off their allotted 15 overs. No individual scores were available.
In other match played, United Brothers defeated Cullen by 49 runs, Die Hard got the better of Reliance by 85 runs and Richmond youths overcame Young Guns by 7 wickets.

At Cullen; United Bothers 195 – 9 in 15 overs (Shannon Jagmohan 40, Richard Peterson 35 n.o, Trevor Ramnarine 2 – 19) beat Cullen 146 – 7 in 15 overs (Jagesh Lall 34, Gopaul Deen 2 – 9).
At Richmond; Young Guns 123 – 6 in 15 overs (Ramnarine Soubjat 56, Navindra Soubjat 22, Sheldon Monroe 2 – 27, Rajesh Hardatt 2 – 29) Lost to Richmond youths 130 – 3 in 15 overs (Sugrim Allan 42, Sheldon Monroe 40).
At Perseverance; Die Hard 220 – 9 in 15 overs (Yasci Khan 59, Anthony Nasir 48, Mervin Person 3 – 29, Dhaniram Lall 2 – 34) beat Reliance 135 – 8 in 15 overs (Mervin Person 35 Kumar Persaud 33, Yasir Khan 3 – 14, Devindra Sookhai 2 – 19). (Zaheer Mohamed)
