In an effort to spread the game of chess through out the country, the Guyana Chess Federation in association with the Director of Sport, Neil Kumar, held a chess clinic at the Art of Living Foundation, Turkeyen, East Coast Demerara.
Sixteen kids from various schools attended the clinic and were thought the basic of chess. Administrator of the Art of Living Foundation Ms. Rolinda Kirton also participated in the clinic. President of the Guyana Chess Federation, Errol Tiwari, Treasurer, Shiv Nandalall and Secretary Irshad Mohamed conducted the training session, which lasted for one week.
