Fire destroys Christianburg house
Firefighters responded to a house fire at Section ‘C’ Christianburg, Wismar, Linden.
(Kaieteur News) – A fire of unknown origin destroyed a house at Section ‘C’ Christianburg, Wismar, Linden on Friday, the Guyana Fire Service (GFS) reported. In a brief statement on its Facebook page, the GFS said that it responded to the fire and upon arrival “firefighters found the building engulfed in flames.”
“They immediately went into firefighting operations and worked swiftly to bring the blaze under control. Despite their efforts, the building and its contents were destroyed,” the statement said.
Investigations are ongoing.
