(Kaieteur News) – Police in Regional Division #8 are investigating the discovery of a quantity of cannabis during an operation conducted on Sunday between 21:30hrs and 22:30hrs at School Street, Mahdia.
During the exercise, ranks searched an abandoned yard in the area, where a bulky black plastic bag was found concealed inside a tyre in nearby bushes.
Inside the bag were three transparent plastic parcels containing a quantity of leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis. The suspected cannabis was taken to the Mahdia Police Station, where it was weighed and amounted to 130 grams before being lodged. No one was arrested. Investigations continue.
