(Kaieteur News) – President Irfaan Ali and Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis and current Chair of CARICOM, the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew met at State House on Saturday.
The two leaders discussed a number of issues relating to CARICOM and the advancement of Guyana–St Kitts and Nevis relations.

According to a short statement posted on the Office of the President’s Facebook page, Prime Minister Drew called the meeting “fruitful” and said that the CARICOM Heads will continue to push the idea of “regional integration and togetherness”.
The 50th Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government is scheduled for next week in St Kitts and Nevis.
Also present at the meeting were the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Honourable Hugh Todd; Minister of Public Service, Government Efficiency, and Implementation, the Honourable Zulfikar Ally; Chief of Defence Staff, Brigadier Omar Khan; Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sharon Roopchand-Edwards; and Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency, Colonel Sheldon Howell.
