(Kaieteur News) – The Association of Unified Realty Agents (AURA) is partnering with Assuria General Insurance to provide insurance coverage for local real estate professionals.
AURA made the announcement during its second consecutive monthly real estate conference which was held at the Pegasus Hotel & Suites Conference Center in Georgetown on February 12. The association in a release stated that more than 200 participants attended the free seminar, which featured valuable insights on real estate investment, property development, emerging opportunities for Guyanese in the rapidly expanding market, financing solutions, and insurance coverage. The event provided attendees with practical knowledge and strategies to participate more actively in Guyana’s dynamic real estate sector, AURA noted.
“AURA also announced a strategic partnership with Assuria General Insurance, one of the nation’s fastest-growing financial services companies. Through this collaboration, AURA members will gain access to the country’s first group health insurance coverage for real estate professionals, expanded mortgage opportunities, and cross-training programs that allow real estate agents to receive licensing within the insurance industry,” the association reported.
The association related that persons who attended, expressed that the information shared would empower them to become more active participants in the real estate market and capitalise on opportunities within one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.
AURA’s Vice President of Operations, Sandy Harry was quoted in the release that “With strong partnerships such as Assuria, Pegasus Hotel & Suites, and the support of our more than 300 members, we are well positioned to transform the industry. AURA is the future of real estate in Guyana.”
The executive team which comprises of Aleem Hussain, Pete Persaud, Sandy Harry, Wynette Britton, Robert Pearson, Wendell Stephens, Sherry Ali, Joseph Hoyte, Onkar Eindu Autar, Shelliza Allie, and Richard Sukhdeo reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that Guyanese citizens have access to the information, training, and professional development necessary to succeed in the real estate industry.
Further, AURA stated that it continues to expand its initiatives through engagement with governmental agencies stakeholders education, professional development, and strategic partnerships aimed at strengthening the real estate sector and creating sustainable opportunities for Guyanese nationwide.
