(Kaieteur News) – Golfers and fans can expect a lively blend of competition and flair this Sunday as Lusignan Golf Club hosts the ANSA McAL Aperol Spritz Golf Tournament, a featured event on the club’s tournament calendar that promises strong play, attractive prizes, and a vibrant sponsor presence on the course.
The one-day tournament will bring together players across the field for an 18-hole showdown, with top honors and specialty prizes up for grabs. Competitors will be aiming not only for podium finishes but also for standout performances on key holes, adding extra excitement throughout the round.
Prize categories will include Best Net – 1st – 3rd Place, Overall Best Gross, Nearest to the Flag – Hole #4 and Longest Drive – Hole #5.

LGC PRO Dr. Joaan Deo welcomed the partnership behind the event, noting its value to the local game. The tournament sponsor, ANSA McAL, is one of the region’s most established distribution and beverage companies, known for supporting major sporting and lifestyle events across the Caribbean and Guyana. Through its Aperol Spritz brand, internationally associated with social, stylish, and celebratory experiences, the company adds a distinctive hospitality element to this weekend’s competition.
The tournament will be played on Sunday, February 8, 2026, with tee-off at 8:00 a.m. The presentation of prizes is scheduled for approximately 12:30 p.m. following the completion of play.
