(Kaieteur News) – P&P Insurance Brokers Limited on Thursday afternoon made its annual Christmas donation to ten organisations with each receiving a donation of $250,000.
The beneficiaries are Bless the Children Home, Ptolemy Reid Rehab, Uncle Eddie’s Home, Friends of the Archer’s Home, The Dharm Shala, Cheshire Homes, Guyana Hauraruni Girls Home, Bal Nivas Shelter, Joshua House Children Centre and Abraham’s Tent Inc.
In a statement on Saturday, the company said that it has been making donations to several organisations over the past 19 years to assist them in their humanitarian work.
Executive Director of P&P, Mr. Vikash Panday said when the idea was conceived ten organisations received $100,000 each.
However, over the years, P&P has progressively increased the amount. In 2024, the company donated $200,000 to each organisation. He disclosed that this year the company is celebrating its 40th anniversary and decided that it is fitting to increase its donation to the organisations.
“Each organisation was therefore given $250,000 making it a total donation of $2,500,000. Mr. Panday said that it was a manifestation of the company’s commitment to giving back that they have been able to not only make these donations every year but have been able to consistently increase the amount from time to time,” the statement said.
Pandy thank his clients noting that his contributions to the humanitarian organisations would not be possible without the success of his company.
He commended the representatives of the organisations for the work that they do and urged them to continue playing their very important role in society.
The representatives of the organisations thanked Panday and P&P Insurance for their continued generosity and support over the years and reciprocated his good wishes for the holiday season.
