(Kaieteur News) – Caribbean Airlines has announced a strategic adjustment to its regional network effective June 1, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen operational efficiency and improve long-term service reliability across the Caribbean.
According to a press release by the regional airline, under the revised schedule, it will discontinue services on the Dominica, St. Kitts, and Ogle (Guyana)–Suriname routes, while also reducing flight frequency to Martinique and Guadeloupe to twice weekly.
Passengers holding bookings beyond the affected travel dates will be contacted directly by Caribbean Airlines or through their travel agents.
Customers impacted by these changes will be offered:
Caribbean Airlines reaffirmed its commitment to Guyana as a strategic hub within its network. While the Ogle–Suriname service will be discontinued, the airline emphasised that it continues to evaluate route optimisation to support reliable air links for Guyanese travellers across the region through existing and partner connections.
The airline also noted ongoing work toward expanded codeshare partnerships aimed at improving access from Guyana to a wider regional and international network, with smoother connections and integrated ticketing options.
Caribbean Airlines said the adjustments form part of a broader strategy to maintain a sustainable and commercially resilient network, while continuing to prioritise customer experience, operational performance, and long-term regional connectivity.
