Businessman and cricket fan Shabeer Baksh of Big B Restaurant donates cricket uniforms to Tuber Park CC

Kaieteur Sports – Mr. Shabeer Baksh, owner of Big B’s Restaurant and Baksh Travel Service and the MSB business Complex, business enterprises across both East and West Berbice, has donated a set of uniforms to the Tucber Park Cricket Club.

Baksh, who is also the President of the Blairmont Blazers Cricket Club, which is part of the Blairmont Community Centre, still plays First Division and different levels of cricket for his club.

The donation was made recently at one of his business complexes in Berbice. According to Baksh – the Tucber Park Cricket Club since coming on the scene has been very impressive. Their record, he says speaks for itself. The club has produced a number of top players at all levels some of whom have gone on to represent Guyana and the West Indies. He spoke of the good relationship between the two clubs.

According to Baksh, he has been a cricketer, a fan and a cricket enthusiast over the years, so he decided to lend his support and assist wherever he can.

The Tucber Park Cricket, which has risen to be among the top clubs in Berbice, was thankful Baksh’s generosity in the donation of the playing uniforms.

According to the club, Baksh has always been and continues to be very supportive of the Tucber Park Cricket.

“His generosity continues to inspire and motivate us as we work together to develop Tucber Park and Berbice cricket.”
