Kaieteur Sports – The Ministry of Education ground came alive yesterday as the Petra Organisation wrapped up Round Two of the sixth Annual Republic Bank Schools Under-18 Football League, with Three Mile Secondary, Charlestown Secondary, West Ruimveldt Secondary, and defending champions Chase’s Academic Foundation all notching up dominant victories.
Three Mile Secondary kicked off the day in comeback fashion, stunning Dolphin Secondary 3–1. Despite Dolphin taking the early advantage through Tyler Abrams in the 25th minute, the Barticians regrouped and launched a second-half blitz. Rondell Washington (40’), Durrel Washington (43’), and Chris Anderson found the back of the net to secure Three Mile’s second win of the 2025 campaign, while Dolphin slumped to their second straight defeat.
In the second encounter, Charlestown Secondary edged Abram Zuil Secondary 2–1 in a tightly contested battle. Dilshawn Alleyne drew first blood in the 26th minute before Abram Zuil’s Jaden Evans levelled the score early in the second half (49’). However, Adion Marks’ decisive strike in the 56th minute sealed the win for Charlestown, whose resolute defending saw them hold firm until the final whistle.

Here’s a look at the West Ruimveldt goal scorers during yesterday’s round two match against PC (L-R) Lyndon Gray, Donovan Welcome, Jeremiah Griffith and Joel Griffith.
The biggest rout of the early afternoon came courtesy of West Ruimveldt Secondary, who demolished President’s College 6–0 to secure their first win of the season. Lydon Gray stole the show with a sensational hat-trick (11’, 50’, 67’), while captain Jeremiah Griffith opened the scoring in the fifth. Goals from Joel Griffith (30’) and *Donavan Welcome* (60’) capped off a statement victory for the West side.
But it was the reigning champs, Chase’s Academic Foundation, who delivered the headline performance of the day, obliterating South Ruimveldt Secondary 10–2 in a goal fest. Isaiah Ifill set the tone early, netting twice in the opening two minutes before completing his hat-trick in the 28th. Despite Jadon Edwards and Obediah Munroe giving South fleeting hope, Chase’s attacking firepower proved too much to contain.
Mark Glasgow (33’), Bryan Wharton (38’, 77’), Shaquan David (69’, 70’), and Nyron Barrow (68’) all got on the scoresheet, powering Chase’s to an emphatic victory and sending a strong warning to the rest of the competition as they chase back-to-back titles.
The Republic Bank U18 Schools Football League, sponsored by Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited with support from Guyana Beverage Inc. (Busta Brand), Ronoca Concrete Inc., MVP Sports, and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, continues this Sunday with Round Three fixtures.
