Dear Editor,
“If the PNC needs a place to start with doing a forensic audit of why they were beaten so badly, then they just need to look to people like Lincoln Lewis, Dr. David Hinds, Dr. Henry Jeffery and Tacuma Ogunseye.
They offer nothing that can benefit the PNC,” wrote Radar21reformed, a pen name blogger on 9-7-25 in the SN. This is an excellent analysis that the extremists did more damage to APNU than they could ever imagine.
Afro-Guyanese are 29% of the population in Guyana and must win over Indo-Guyanese and others to get into the government. The PNCR needs to do a serious revamping of its strategy. All Hinds, Lewis, Jeffrey and Ogunseye do is alienate Indo-Guyanese.
Twice in 1964 and 2015, Indian voters were responsible for getting the PNC to power in coalitions. The PNCR needs to dump the aforementioned critics and have nothing to do with them if the PNCR is to regain power in the future.
Barack Obama became President of the USA by not embracing Reverend Jessie Jackson and Reverend Al Sharpton. They were assumed to support Obama anyways. They did. Obama ended being elected by the majority European population and minority population in the USA.
If the PNCR is to ever achieve its political goals, it must also quickly replace Aubrey Norton as leader as soon as possible. Norton refused to shake the President’s hands and walked out of Parliament when they were debating the issue on Venezuela. That was not showing Guyanese were united in confronting the enemy or he was statesmanlike. The PNCR is not going to become stronger and better with Norton at the helm.
Sincerely,
Sultan Mohamed
