Dear Editor,
I do not know Leonard Craig and I am sure he is capable of explaining the imbroglio he has found himself in.
I will say straight up, I think he is a decent and respectable person, from the little I have seen and read of him. Decorum ran amok on the campaign stage, and faux pas committed, unpardonable sins in the eyes of the public and rightly so. Now his image is tattered and shredded. I can feel his regret and contriteness for what occurred.
However, in my view his integrity and completeness as a sound and decent person remain unblemished and intact. While we condemn his unthinkable outbursts, the public unleash of ridicule and humiliation for an error, put it down to human frailty, is unneeded and unhelpful. Mr. Craig will reflect on this episode and take the lessons from it. And, even as he is crucified, he will resurrect. Because you can’t keep a good person down.
Regards,
Shamshun Mohamed
