It is against this backdrop that Tony’s Auto Spares held its first Auto Financing and Insurance Expo on July 26, last at the dealership’s newly opened outdoor showroom located at Lot 1 Area D, Success & Chateau Margot, Public Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD).

Tony’s Auto Spares held its inaugural Auto Financing and Insurance Expo last month

The event attracted scores of Guyanese who were looking to buy their first car or to upgrade based on the wide range of vehicles on display, from cars, SUV’s, buses and pickups.

Those who visited the booths at the event were treated to on-site financing assistance from Republic Bank Guyana and GBTI; on the spot insurance consolations from Assuria Insurance Guyana and Nalico/Nafico; exclusive expo pricing and bonus packages, live entertainment by DJ Static and Michael Ignatius and refreshments, giveaways and a welcoming atmosphere.

At the expo, customers were able to cash in on discounted vehicles at prices exclusive to expo attendees; free Road Licences, free fitness and registration, free number plates, free buff and polish, free first time serving, free car care bundles, free fuel vouchers, and other giveaways as well as discounts on tyres and auto parts.

Chief Marketing Officer Subrina Bhagwandin said that the dealership is seeking to make it easier and more affordable for people, to own vehicles.

She explained that the team at Tony’s came up with the expo as a comprehensive solution to address the challenges faced by the average Guyanese in owning a reliable vehicle.

According to Bhagwandin, many people may be faced with financial barriers, insurance confusion and limited access to trustworthy information.

She said “We’re helping people move forward, literally and financially. Also, by working with local banks and insurers, we’re keeping the flow of business local.”

“The expo supported customers, financial institutions, local suppliers, and even performing artists, creating a small but meaningful economic ripple. The Expo provides a comprehensive solution, including quality vehicles, flexible bank financing, trusted insurance providers and expert advice, enabling informed decisions and confidence in driving. So, this wasn’t just a sale event, it was an experience designed to educate and empower the public.”

Tony’s Auto Spares has been in business for over 34 years.

The business started small, just a humble auto parts shop, and today, it is one of Guyana’s largest suppliers of vehicles, tyres, and auto parts.

The company expanded to three major locations, Alberttown, Le Re souvenir, Success and soon a Diamond branch will be completed.

“We want to serve customers from all across the country. But even with that growth, our mission remains simple; to provide affordable, reliable, and trusted automotive solutions to the people of Guyana,” Bhagwandin added.

She noted that Tony’s financing and Insurance Expo is just one of the many ways, the dealership continues to serve that mission.

In addition to this, as part of its wider goal to reach the community, the dealership is seeking to host these expos more regularly, possibly across the other branches or in partnership with more communities.

“Even if you’re not ready to purchase, the information and access you can gain by visiting the expo, can help you plan and prepare. There’s no pressure, just real people, real deals and real opportunities,” the Marketing Manager explained.
