Kaieteur News – The We Invest in Nationhood (WIN) Party on Friday met senior representatives of the high commissions of the United Kingdom and Canada as well as the United States Embassy and the European Union in Guyana.
The meeting, which was attended by H.E. Jane Caroline Miller, High Commissioner, British High Commission; Mr. Henry Rector, Political Affairs Officer, Embassy of the United States of America; H.E. Sébastian Sigouin, High Commissioner, Canadian High Commission; and H.E. Rene Van Nes, Head of Delegation of the European Union in Guyana, was held at WIN’s campaign office at Greenfield, East Bank Demerara.
WIN was represented by presidential candidate Azruddin Mohamed and senior party officials.
According to a statement issued by the party, the meeting underscored the shared commitment to ensuring free, fair, and peaceful elections in Guyana. Discussions also addressed sustainable development, inclusive economic growth, and perspectives on the evolving political landscape.
“The WIN Party reaffirmed its dedication to democratic principles, transparency, and national unity, while emphasising the urgent need for governance that delivers lasting solutions for all Guyanese. The party reiterated its vision for equitable economic opportunities, climate resilience, and the protection of fundamental rights for every citizen,” the statement said.
The party thanked the ABCEU representatives for the “constructive dialogue, and looks forward to continued collaboration in the interest of a stronger, more prosperous Guyana.”
