…driver arrested
Kaieteur News- A 9-year-old boy was on Tuesday killed in an accident along the Corentyne, Berbice road. The child has been identified as Sahil Naipaul, a student of Crabwood Creek Primary School.
Naipaul reportedly resided with his family at Grant 1802 Crabwood Creek, Corentyne, Berbice.
Reports are that the lad was hit by a car at around 12:45h. Details surrounding the accident are unclear, however Kaieteur News understands that the driver of the car is a 21-year-old male from Grant 1803 Crabwood Creek, Corentyne, Berbice.
Up to press time, the Guyana Police Force (GPF) haD not issued a press statement on the accident. However, reports are that the driver of the car, bearing registration number PAK 6598, is in police custody.
