Kaieteur Sports – Regal Over-40 (Masters) and Over-50 (Legends) teams have been announced for the 2025 Independence Softball Cup, which is slated for this Friday to Sunday.
The three-day extravaganza will be run under the auspices of the New York Softball Cricket League and will have all three categories: Legends, Masters and All-Stars (Open).
Teams to compete in the various categories are from New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, Schenectady, Connecticut, Florida, Guyana and Canada.
This year marks the 20th edition of the annual mega softball event and monetary prizes along with trophies are up for grabs.
Meanwhile, Manager of the teams Ian John has expressed profound confidence that the Guyana-based teams will return home with the top prizes.
He mentioned that they guys have prepared really hard for the competition as well.
John stated that both teams are well-balanced and ready to rumble against tough opponents.
Both Regal Legends and Masters teams won championships before at this tournament.
