Kaieteur Sports- The Whim Community Centre Ground in Region 6 will come alive tomorrow Monday 26th May from 9am as softball players will get into action in the inaugural Independence Cup Softball Cricket.
According to the organisers the one-day tournament will be played based on a one-game knock-out format and each innings will consist of 10 overs, round arm and wrist bowling, and will see both male and female cricketers taking the field.

According to the release, there will be lots of side attractions during the day for fans. While there will be bar-b-que on sale, a well-stocked beverage bar, and music to entertain the spectators.
Several teams have already shown their interest in participating in the one-day tournament that is organized in celebrating Guyana’s 59th Independence Anniversary.
K.T Fabrication are on board with sponsorship for the event. Ms. Tiffany LaRose of R.S. Sports received the sponsorship from Managing Director of K.T Fabrication Mr. Thomas.
