Dear Editor
I looked at a video by Vice President Bharat where he mentioned that footage was reported to have been seen by the police which saw the 11 old year child leaving the hotel and getting into a car, registration and colour given. Bharat says he wants to see the video.
What! He is telling us he wants to see the footage instead of telling us he looked at the footage and it confirms what is being told. So, the Vice President has not seen the video. Apparently, the Minister of Home Affairs, Robeson Benn has not seen it either or Bharat would have requested and looked at it.
This was told to the parents and those who were demanding the police search the hotel. The unfolding facts reveal that the child was still in the hotel so obviously the story about footage was blatantly false. It would be logical that for some reason the police did not want the hotel to be searched. It is also clear that had the police searched the hotel the child may have been found and would still be alive today.
It is ridiculous for the VP to say he wants to see the footage which by now he would know is non- existent. He should have been telling us that the footage does not exist and he should have been telling us the officer’s name and that that Officer is in custody.
The events that unfolded including the tale by the police that the child was seen somewhere else were to me pellucid the police conspired to prevent the discovery of what was taking place in the Hotel. So, we have a Prima Facie case of conspiracy to commit or aiding and abetting the murder of the child.
We also saw pictures of a gentleman on the stairs and smoke pouring out of a window. One would have expected the staff and this gentleman to run and grab extinguishers to put out the fire. This did not take place. So, one can conclude it was a case where the fire was set to destroy all evidence, DNA, fingerprints, blood samples etc. The smoke could not have been coincidental.
I wrote a letter some time ago stating that there is no real justice for the poor. Practice indicates the rich can pay for justice and they can pay to perpetuate injustice. I don’t mean to say all the rich people do this. But we know instead of charges for causing death by dangerous driving, or rape compensation is paid and the matter ends. Sometimes the police is paid off. Here again this is not to condemn all police.
Not long ago I wrote a letter to the press urging that salaries of the police must be revised upwards. A living wage must be paid. In conclusion, I would hope in the next video by the VP we hear the police officers who “saw” the footage or talked about the child being seen somewhere else are in custody. Also, the officers who refused to search the hotel and who actually prevented the parents and relatives from entering, should also explain why they all should not be in custody. The least is their actions allowed the murderers to proceed with their vile act uninterrupted. They have a lot of explaining to do. The death of the child may very well be because of their actions.
