Kaieteur Sports- The Guyana Body building and Fitness Federation (GBBFF) held their electoral Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday last, at Olympic House at XXX Liliendaal, Greater Georgetown, Demerara, Guyana. Roger Callender was voted in as the Federation’s President after defeating Intiaz Satar 20-4 in the voting that ensued after their nominations.
Callender will have as his Vice President Coel Marks, with the other executive members being General Secretary Romelton Siland, Treasurer Shemina Peroune, Assistant Secretary Treasurer Intiaz Satar, Organizing Secretary Tariq Dakil, Executive Director Keavon Bess, and Executive Committee Members Kerwin Clarke, Yusif Khan, Anthony Mclean, Errol Tekaram, Darious Ramsammy, Dwayne Mars and Omar Satar.
The meeting commenced with the Registration of the persons on the List of Eligible Voters; followed by a Call to Order; Treasurer’s Report; President’s Report; Elections of Office Bearers and Any other business.
The President and Organizing Secretary both thanked the bodybuilding and fitness fraternity for the opportunity to serve and to deliver on promises made.
The Returning Officer was Olivia Bess, Attorney-at-Law.
After election and under any other business Videsh Sookram was appointed an Honorary Life Member of the GBBFF.
The new President of the GBBFF delivered his thank you speech just before the meeting was adjourned.
