Kaieteur News- Nowadays when fuh get a haircut, yuh gat to mek appointment. Is all because more people want professional barber fuh cut dem hair. And people less patient. Dem nah want to sit down whole half day in barber shop waiting fuh a haircut.
It mek dem boys remember de story about dis man pokin he head in a barber shop in Georgetown every couple days. One day, he seh, “How long before meh could get a trim?”
De barber tek a look round de shop, see people waiting, and seh, “About two hours.”
De man seh, “Alright,” and he disappear.
Couple days later, de same man stick he head back in de door. “How long fuh a trim?”
De barber peep again and seh, “About two hours.” De man just smile and walk off.
Next week, de man pop back in de same spot. “How long before meh could get trim now?”
De barber size up de crowd and seh, “About hour and a half.” De man gone again.
De barber tun to he partner sitting in de corner and seh, “Aye, Suresh, follow dat man and see weh he does guh every time he lef here.”
Suresh gone and trail de man like a private investigator. Bout fifteen minutes later, Suresh come back de shop, he laughing till tears rolling down he face.
De barber seh, “Suresh, weh de man does guh?”
Suresh catch he breath and seh, “Bai, he guh straight by yuh house!”
