Kaieteur News – The government through the Regional Democratic Council of Region Four has set aside some $30 million to extend the Yarrowkabra Nursery School located along the Linden – Soesdyke Highway.
At the reading of bids at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) office, it was revealed that 16 contractors have tendered for the contract. In addition to extending the school, the RDC was seeking a contractor to construct a reinforced concrete bridge at Little Diamond, East Bank Demerara. These works are pegged at $22 million. This year, the Committee of Supply of the National Assembly had approved some $12.3 billion for Region Administration of Region Four to execute its current and new projects.
