$14M earmarked for emergency rehabilitation of Leonora Police Living Quarters
(Kaieteur News) – The Ministry of Home Affairs is moving to spend an estimated $14,690,500 on emergency rehabilitation works to the Police Living Quarters at Leonora, as part of the government’s ongoing push to upgrade law enforcement infrastructure.
Bids for the project were opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB), where five contractors submitted proposals to carry out the works. Notably, all five bids came in below the engineer’s estimate of $14.6M.
