Air Cargo Pack completes first cargo flight from Colombia to Guyana
(Kaieteur News) – Air Cargo Pack (Guyana) Inc., a Georgetown-based air cargo service company, has completed its first cargo flight from Bogotá, Colombia to Guyana, the company announced in a statement Saturday.
The aircraft arrived at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) on Friday,7th August, in what the company described as a major milestone in its efforts to strengthen air cargo connectivity between Guyana and Latin America. The flight demonstrates Air Cargo Pack’s ability to coordinate direct cargo movements between the two South American countries.

Air Cargo Pack (Guyana) Inc. is licensed to move cargo between Guyana, Colombia, Panama, Mexico and Brazil, giving Guyanese businesses greater access to key Latin American markets. The company said the successful Bogotá flight represents an important step toward developing these regional trade corridors and creating faster, more efficient options for businesses importing into and exporting from Guyana.
Air Cargo Pack said it is developing cargo solutions for importers, exporters, freight forwarders and companies requiring transportation of general cargo, fresh produce and perishables, agricultural products, oil and gas equipment, industrial cargo, oversized cargo and other specialised or time-sensitive shipments.
Director of Air Cargo Pack (Guyana) Inc., Stefan John, said in the release: “This is an extremely important milestone for Air Cargo Pack. It represents more than simply landing an aircraft in Guyana. We have demonstrated that we can successfully connect businesses in Guyana directly with Colombia and create new opportunities for trade between our markets.”
He added that the company’s vision extends beyond Colombia. Noting that Air Cargo Pack is licensed to move cargo between Guyana, Colombia, Panama, Mexico and Brazil, John said the goal is to progressively develop these connections based on the needs of the market. “Our focus now is on building consistent cargo volumes and creating reliable air cargo options for businesses that want greater access to Latin America,” he said.
The Bogotá-Guyana route has drawn interest from other operators as well. Colombian cargo carrier Aerosucre S.A. announced plans in 2025 to begin regular flights connecting CJIA with Bogotá’s El Dorado International Airport, citing growing demand for the transport of perishable products, industrial goods and e-commerce shipments between the two countries.
Following the successful first flight, Air Cargo Pack said it is now actively engaging businesses throughout Guyana to identify their import and export requirements and build cargo volumes for upcoming operations. Businesses importing products from Colombia, Panama, Mexico or Brazil — or seeking to export Guyanese products into these markets — are encouraged to contact the Air Cargo Pack commercial team.
