Boat captain disappears after driving brother to backdam
Kaieteur News – A captain along with his boat disappeared on Monday in the Mazaruni River, Region Seven after driving his brother to the Marshall Point Backdam.
Missing, Carl Subarattie
The missing boat captain was identified as 61-year-old Carl Subarattie of Palmer’s Point, Lower Mazaruni.
Police said that the man’s relatives reported him missing around 19:20 hrs on Monday after he failed to return home. According to relatives, Subarattie left his home at around 09:00h on Monday to take his brother, identified as Anderson, to the Backdam.
After leaving his brother at the Marshall Point Backdam, Subarattie left for home but never arrived.
A search is ongoing.
