Kaieteur News –The Linden Town Week Football tournament will commence from next Tuesday, April 26 with the final set for May 2 at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) ground.
This year the event will take the form of a Masters contest involving four teams pitted in a straight knockout format.
The sponsor is Ansa McAl under their Heineken Brand and they are expected to serve up the customary attractive cash prizes for the outstanding performers. Marlon Washington is the organiser of the tournament and informed that a number of former national players will be on show.
He informed that due to the covid19 pandemic the tournament this year will only see Masters action on field. Washington noted that full details of the tournament will be disclosed shortly at a scheduled event which will be announced featuring the sponsors Ansa McAl and the Mayor of Linden.
