Kaieteur News – Sans Souci, Maria’s Pleasure, SS Jaguars recorded victories when the Wakenaam Cricket Committee Badri Prasad Memorial T20 competition resumed recently.
At the Wakenaam Community Centre ground, Sans Souci defeated Noitgedacht Sports Club by 141 runs. Batting first, Sans Souci managed 207-6. Seon Venture struck five fours and three sixes in a top score of 60 not out while Tamesh Charritar made 38, Devon Rambaran 21, Cleon Venture 20 and Oyono Sampson 15. J. Browne claimed three wickets. Noitgedacht Sports Club were bowled out for 66 in 14 overs in reply. Seon Venture and Cleon Venture picked up 3-6 each with the former taking a hat-trick.
Maria’s Pleasure beat Zeelandia by 36 runs. Maria’s Pleasure batted first and posted 164-7. Dreshaun Phillips made 47, Marsh Singh 23, Bernard Lewis 16 and Kevin Hemraj 14. Zeelandia scored 128 all out in 18 overs in reply. Navishaul Pooran made 36 as Kennard Lewis bagged 5-18 including a hat-trick and Bernard Lewis took two wickets.
At G Square Cavaliers ground in Belle Plaine, Sans Souci Jaguars overcame G Square Cavaliers by 79 runs. Sans Souci Jaguars managed 176-6, taking first strike. Beesham Moses slammed seven fours and one six in a top score of 56 while Zameer Zaman made 44 with nine fours, Prem Persaud 20 and Azeer Ramrattan 15. Lokram Narine took two wickets.
G Square Cavaliers responded with 97-8. Beesham Bhagpattie made 19 and Komesh Sudin 18. Moses grabbed 4-10, while Vickey Jairam and Gladewin Henry Jr had two each.
