Kaieteur News – Central Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) has conducted a series of raids over the course of the past weekend, in which they obtained a sum of 239 grams of marijuana.
Kaieteur News understands that in relation to the recent bust occurred on Saturday last, CANU officers had received several complaints from various persons, informing them of the illegal activities that have been ongoing within the area.
According to information received from CANU, the operation was carried out at 59 Light Street Albertown, where a house was targeted for a search. The occupant Derych Roach, male, age 42 years was arrested with cannabis which weighed about 206 grams.
A similar operation was carried out at 54 Fifth Street Albertown, with Glen Forde being another subject of the arrest, who reportedly had 33 grams of cannabis within his possession.
