Jai Hind Cricket Club launches Mash Cup Masters T20 Cup fundraiser

Kaieteur News – The Jai Hind Cricket Club of Albion, Corentyne, Berbice, launched their inaugural Mash Cup Masters T20 Cricket Tournament to be played on February 23, 2021.
The tournament will involve four Masters Teams, namely the host Jai Hind Jaguars, West Berbice Masters, West Demerara Masters and Strahavon Masters.
The teams will compete for a first prize of $100,000, runner up $25,000 along with trophies for the winner, runner up and man of the match in the finals.
Proceeds from the event will go towards further development of the venue. The government recently handed over floodlights for the ground and funds to assist in the construction of fences.
At a simple ceremony held recently, trophies were donated for the event by Trophy Stall, Port Mourant Branch.
Handing over the trophies on behalf of the Sponsor, Chitra Bedessie, Branch Manager said that her company is proud to be part of such an event and will continue to support the Club in the future. “Trophy Stall plays an important part in the development of sports in Guyana,” she added.
In response, Rajin Moosammy, Captain of the Jai Hind Cricket Club, thanked the sponsor for coming on board without hesitation and promised to make the tournament an annual one. He also mentioned that it will be well organized and mileage will be given to all the sponsors.
