The much anticipated Port Kaituma Football Foundation (PKFF) 5-a-side floodlight football competition will be held at Fitzburg Recreational Ground, tonight.
The annual event will see defending champions Oronoque FC among other teams from Port Kaituma, Matthews Ridge, Arakaka, Sebai, Fitzburg and Citrus Grove vie for a top prize of $150,000; the runner up will take home $50,000 respectively.
It’s the first time the teams will be playing according to the Futsal format. There will also be lots of games for the children and the organizers are urging the fans to come out in their numbers and support the event.
The PKFF would like to thank their sponsors; Platinum General Store, Clarence Hinds from Mabaruma, Three Brothers Sports bar, Roshan Rampersaud, Brian Thomas of Bus Park. Among the players expected to be in action are Jamal James, Kamal James, Eon Gill, Joshua Williams and Elijah Spencer.
Action is set to commence at 18:00hrs.
