The battle for supremacy in the Department of Tourism’s 2-day International Lusignan Open teed off with excitement and great anticipation as golfers took to the Course to prove their supremacy or establish their place in the Club’s history.
At end of Day 1, there was no clear and conclusive lead in any of the four Flights to suggest that anyone would be the undisputed champion. The tables show the performances of the golfers in each Flight.
It was certainly worthy of note that Kevin and Dylan Healy, father and son respectively, of the US Ambassador, performed creditably producing net 82 and 85 respectively. Minister of Communities, the honorable Ronald Bulkan gave a look in on the proceedings at the end of the day’s play. The Ministry of Business -Department of Tourism, headed by Director General Donald Sinclair, is the Main Sponsor for this tournament.

Longest Drive was won by Avinash Persaud, and Nearest the Pin by Monnaf Arjune. But it requires the end of the two days to determine the real champions and winners in each Flight. We look forward to the next day’s play, scheduled to tee-off about 7:00 am today.
