Residents of Queenstown are being lauded for stopping a robbery at a post office there.
According to the Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC) yesterday, it would like to publicly commend the public-spirited residents of Queenstown, Essequibo, for their brave act on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. “Due to their diligence, the trio was successful in foiling a robbery attempt on the Queenstown Post Office.
“After seeing an unknown person in the Post Office, the three residents raised an alarm and subsequently gave chase (after) the individual,” GPOC said in its statement.
“The Board of Directors and Management of the GPOC is extremely grateful for this act of valour and would like to publicly recognise these individuals for their good deed.”
