Fisherman Masters concluded their preparation for the upcoming New York Softball Cricket League with victory in the Enterprise Busta Sports Club 20-over softball competition which was contested on Sunday.
Fisherman Masters defeated Success Masters by 10 runs in the final of the three-team tournament. Batting first, Fisherman Masters managed 121 all out in 15 overs with John Sumair scoring 39. Success Masters were bowled out for 111 in 13 overs, in reply. Greg De Franca and man-of-the-match Danny Thomas picked up three wickets each.
Earlier, Fisherman Masters beat Success Masters by three wickets. Success Masters batted first and scored 135 all out in 20 overs. Zameer Hassan and Pooran Singh took two wickets each. Fisherman Masters responded with 136-7 in 13 overs. John Sumair made 29.
Success Masters overcame Savage Masters by two wickets. Savage Masters batted first and made 145 with Narendra Pooran scoring 50. Success Masters scored 146-6 in 17 overs in reply.
