The commencement of the much anticipated ExxonMobil U14 schools football tournament will be delayed.

The various schools that will be participating in the ExxonMobil U14 schools football tournament were handed balls for their preparation.
The event, which was slated to begin this weekend has been shifted to the following Saturday on account of the inclement weather.
Promoters Petra Organisation, through their representative Mark Alleyne, confirmed the news yesterday during a tournament brief at the National Library.
“We want to thank all the teams for coming down, we are sorry again for the shift but weather has forced us.”
Meanwhile, teams were briefed on the tournament while those who require special assistance from the Guyana Football Federation’s (GFF) technical staff made their requests.
The teams also received a quantity of balls to bolster their training regimen.
During last week’s launch, the title sponsor’s representative Deedre Moe contended that they are more than willing to support youth development.
The tournament fixtures will be released shortly with the event expected to begin with a march past at 10:00hrs.

Hard Truths by GHK Lall (Kaieteur News) – For those with Biblical contexts, it said: “no man can serve two masters at the same time.” Sage advice due to its practicality. Divided loyalty is one.
