Marketing Manager of the Guyana Cricket Board, Mr. Raj Singh, receiving the commitment of the Return ticket to New York from Luciana D’Andrade, Travel Consultant of Ticketmaster Travel Agency.
The Guyana Cricket Board had launched its grand fund raising 75th Anniversary Raffle in aid of youth and female cricket development in April 2018. The Guyana Cricket Board was officially formed in 1943 and is currently celebrating its 75th year of existence, usually referred to as the Diamond Anniversary. This raffle was the very first activity planned by the GCB. The GCB also held a Prayer Breakfast at the GCC Members Pavilion in May, 2018. Other activities are planned for the remainder of the year.
The controllers for the raffle are: Anand Kalladeen, Raj Singh & Anand Sanasie. There would be 8 very attractive prizes to be raffled out at its final drawing. The first and second prizes take care of the winner’s transportation woes, an awesome motor car would be the first prize with a beautiful Jialing Motorcycle as the second prize which is sponsored by Marics & Co. The 3rd prize is a 60″ Television set.
The fourth prize is a return airfare to New York, which is being sponsored by Ticketmaster Travel Agency, which is a popular travel agency in Georgetown. There is a condition attached to this prize that it does not include a visa but it is anticipated that the ticket holder can either obtain a visa on his/her own or the GCB and the sponsor may be flexible to agree to a transfer of the ticket to a relative or friend of the ticket holder.
The fifth prize is a beautiful gold necklace which is already sponsored by popular jewellery establishment, Steve’s Jewellery. The sixth prize is an Acer laptop computer which is sponsored by SPR Enterprises located on Brickdam, Stabroek, Georgetown.
