DEAR EDITOR,
It is not my habit to respond to things written by your Columnist, Mr. Frederick Kissoon. I have not been doing so since he has no constituency and, therefore, has no responsibility for people’s welfare. He has the luxury to be very irresponsible. He does not have a constituency.
However, in the Kaieteur News of April 4, 2018, he wrote that; “…Mr. Persaud (Gino Persaud) was identified by a foreign company… to head its office in Guyana…” He went on to say; “…President Ramotar intervened and indicated that his government would be unhappy with such a person”.
Let me say categorically that I never spoke to anyone to deny Mr. Gino Persaud a job. It is just not true.
I have decided to respond because if I don’t then Mr. Kissoon will continue to repeat this untruth as he is wont.
Thank you,
Donald Ramotar
Former President
