Father of two killed in McDoom accident
Dead: Troy Cordwell
A father of two was killed in an accident on the McDoom, East Bank Demerara (EBD) Public Road around 01:00 hr yesterday.
The dead man has been identified as 40-year-old Troy Cordwell of 1 D’Urban Street and Louisa Row, Georgetown.
According to information received, the victim was proceeding north along the western carriageway on his motorcycle when he allegedly lost control of the cycle and crashed into a stationary vehicle that was parked in the vicinity of Pestex Environmental Solutions.
Cordwell was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The victim’s relatives are all residing overseas and could not be reached yesterday for comment.
