Dear Editor,
It ought to be noted by anyone who reads the newspaper that Mr. Rawle Welch has been consistently hammering at the Guyana Olympic Association chief, K. Juman Yassin for incompetence and non-performance.
From all evidence, in the light of what we have been seeing/not been seeing, I fully well agree with him. Mr. Yassin has been at the helm of the GOA for over 20 years and really there is nothing much in terms of progress to show. I concur with all those who say he has failed dismally. The time has come for him to step aside. It is long overdue. Let us allow someone else to take over. Yassin is not the game and the game is not Yassin.
What is it with this stubbornness in not wanting to let go of the reign of control after 20 plus years of stewardship and nothing to shout about. Come on! Be a man of stature and dignity and step aside, too long is enough.
Frank Fyffe

(Kaieteur News) In over six years, 10 percent of Guyana’s stated oil reserves is gone. There’s confidence that Exxon will find more replacement oil.
